Description
The base neck size for each wire gauge is as follows:
2.25mm -> fits up to a 13" neck measurement; designed for use in dogs up to 40lbs
3.2mm -> fits up to a 19" neck measurement; designed for use in dogs up to 88lbs
4mm -> fits up to a 21" neck measurement; designed for use in dogs up to 154lbs
If your dog exceeds the starting length capacity of your suggest wire gauge size, you will need to purchase additional middle links

What a HUGE difference! Accidents happen. My standard labradoodles lost their minds when two other dogs ran up to them off leash. One of mine managed to get out of her collar and it could have been a horrible situation had the other two been dangerous. Now I take the extra minute to use the safety clip to join the Ultra Plus training collar to a regular collar. The ClickLock makes it faster to get on and off and the safety clip gives me the reassurance I needed. Great Products as well as exceptional Customer Support!
I've only had Pugs and never ones with behavioral problems until now, when I rescued a scrappy little girl from a breeding farm where she ran wild for 3 yrs. I became convinced after consulting with a great trainer, I could use one for her because her training just wasn't progressing with a harness after 1 yr.
I was concerned because Pugs are notorious for trachea and elongated palates and she indeed had surgery a year ago.
I was a little hesitant so introduced her slowly...it's less than a week working with her, but she's doing pretty good! The easy of putting the collar on seems fine for our needs. Her neck is 13" so I went back and forth taking out 2 links, then 3 just to make sure. She was able to back out of the larger size so I went with 3 links out, shown here
I consulted with Herm Sprenger about the sizing, after this video, and they said it was ok that the prongs only went around to the ears. Great Customer Service too!
