Care and Maintenance of Herm Sprenger DUO Bits
DUO bits are easy to clean and maintain. Simply rinse with water after each use and wipe dry. The food-safe plastic won't harbor bacteria or develop unpleasant tastes, and the material resists cracking or degrading with proper care. Nevertheless, as the material is much softer than conventional metal bits, the mouth piece should not come into contact woth the horse's teeth. If the surface has sharp edged teeth marks or scratches, the bit should be replaced!
