What to Keep in Mind With a Slip Collar

Martingale chain collars must be slipped over your dog's head, so pay attention to sizing. The collar's length must fit over the head, which typically has a larger circumference than the neck. Measure your dog's head at its widest point (usually behind the ears) to ensure the collar can slip on comfortably. For dogs with much larger heads than necks, we recommend adjustable SPRENGER collars with a SPRENGER hook. These collars open completely for easy on and off, available with or without assembly chain for martingale-style function.
