The Story Behind Mailo & Friends by SPRENGER
You may already know Mailo, the black miniature poodle who has become a familiar face on our social media and website. As the beloved dog of the Sprenger family, Mailo is the inspiration behind our new Mailo & Friends by SPRENGER brand.
The story begins with our 2.0 mm chain collars. As a small dog, Mailo couldn’t wear our usual heavy-duty chain collars, which were too thick for him. We knew this needed to change! Who better to test out our products than the Sprenger family dog? Our goal was clear: provide Mailo with custom products that embodied the same quality as our chain collars but in a size suitable for smaller dogs.
This inspired us to create lightweight yet durable dog gear for small dogs, and before we knew it, Mailo & Friends was born. As our brand grew, we recognized a demand for quality collars and leashes for larger, heavier dog breeds. We wanted to offer SPRENGER-quality hardware for big dogs too, so we looked for materials that matched our high standards – and we found it in Biothane®.
